Wouldn’t you love walking through this Lavender field?
Well, insects dont.

Natural Insect Repellents:

  • Lemon Grass
  • Citronella
  • Cedar
  • Rosemary
  • Geranium
  • Eucalyptus
  • Lavender

A single or combination use of pure essential oils could be used in various applications, such as candles, cleaning products and skin ointments

Some Carrier oils:

Sunflower Oil (Rich in Vitamin E)
Almond Oil (Nutrient Rich)
Coconut Oil (Protects skin from UV rays)
Olive Oil (Heals skin damage)

Add a combination of Essential oils according to personal taste, mix thoroughly with any carrier oil, and place in an empty spray bottle

Did you know that wearing sunglasses tricks your body into believing that there is no UV? It also inhibits Vitamin-D absorption and the body cannot protect itself. The Sun is a giver of Life, just don’t stare at it..

  • Be sure to purchase a pure essential oil, some are premixed or chemical based – Shop wisely (do not use essential oils undiluted – ever)
  • Bottle should be placed away from the sun, in a cool and dark place. Otherwise the plastic will degrade into the oils
  • Citronella is a very effective oil however best for use outdoors
  • Do not overdo it with these oils, some 15-20 drops per 100ml of carrier oil is a good, and balanced combination
  • Some gardeners place Lavender and Rosemary around sensitive plants/vegetables and therefore avoid the unnecessary use of pesticides.
